"Towards an European OER Ecosystem": Emerging Issues and Potential relating Open Education and Nowadays Technology

Abstract

This presentation will provide an overview on the emerging issues and potential relating Open Education and nowadays technology, with special focus on the sustainability or OER-related initiatives and Artificial Intelligence.
Bringing the results of the ongoing EU funded Encore+ project新規タブで開く , whose main aim is to design the basis for an European Meta Repository of OER, we'll show the main proposals from a Proof of Concept developed within the project.
The presentation includes scenarios, wireframes and mock-ups of such a repository, along with questions related to the models of sustainability for Open Education services, investigating the role of the private sector as well as an unavoidable actor of the sustainability model for openness.

We will therefore consider:

  • Business stakeholders’ perspective on AI-based solutions for OER repositories

  • Academy and Public Experts perspective on quality, sustainability and technology (AI) for OERs
